About the evening
Ten years ago, Terence Crutcher was killed in Tulsa. His family turned grief into action, and with sheer will and determination built an organization that now touches North Tulsa, Oklahoma, and the entire nation.
There was no blueprint for this. Just belief, attitude, and determination. A decade later, the impact of what we've built speaks for itself: year-round youth and leadership programs that Tulsa families rely on, sustained advocacy shaping criminal justice reform across Oklahoma, Legacy Fest drawing thousands to celebrate Black Wall Street, soil ceremonies honoring victims of racial violence, and Greenwood North, a permanent home for generational change recognized nationally with a grant from MacKenzie Scott.
The Memorial Gala marks ten years of community-driven work and funds what comes next: sustaining our programs, strengthening Greenwood North, and building the next phase of this legacy.

Out of 12 years of nonprofit experience locally, statewide, and nationally, I'm continuously blown away by the impact of this group! I regret that this was born out of tragedy, but I am forever grateful our kids will have a fighting chance in Oklahoma because of the Terence Crutcher Foundation.
